Position Summary:

The Sales Operations Team Lead reports directly to the Sales Operations Manager and helps oversee the Sales Operations Team. This role ensures the accurate execution and overall success of all sales operation’s programs, including marketing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Assist the Sales Operations Manager lead the sales operations team to ensure timely and accurate pricing and signage updates throughout the store.
  • Supervise the production of ad hoc signage as requested and ensure consistency in branding and messaging.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of materials for print ads on a weekly basis.
  • Coordinate with the Community Engagement Coordinator and sales operations associates to ensure the successful execution of weekly advertisement programs and ad hoc promotions.
  • Collaborate with sales operations associates to direct the proper hanging and placement of signs and promotional materials.
  • Assist in the development, and implementation of processes and procedures to improve existing point-of-sale and promotional programs.
  • Communicate with various departments and vendors to ensure accurate and up-to-date data is entered into the POS system efficiently.
  • Evaluate department operations and report findings to the Sales Operations Manager and assist with streamlining.
  • Work with the Sales Operations Manager to develop and implement procedures and controls to enhance communication and information flow within the sales operations department.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding business operations.
  • Train, mentor, and support team members, providing guidance and resolving conflicts as needed.

Position Summary:

Work closely with Nursery Manager to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Primary responsibility will be to assist customers with checkout, operate the cash register, process sales, and handle cash, credit, and other payment methods accurately.
  • Assist with unloading product and merchandising.
  • Support Nursery Manager in maintaining the property for cleanliness and organization.

Finance Specialist:

Starting rate: $30-$35 per hour DOE

Position Summary:

The Finance Specialist assists the Accounts Payable Department by managing financial transactions, balancing daily tills, maintaining vendor files, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations at Island Market. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong knowledge of GAAP and financial record-keeping best practices. Additionally, the Bookkeeper will be primary on payroll processing and report directly to the Director of HR & Finance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Payroll Management

  • Process and manage payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with payroll tax filings and employee payroll inquiries.

Accounts Payable Management

  • Process invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and manage payment schedules, including checks, electronic payments, and credit card transactions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.

Daily Till Balancing

  • Maintain and update vendor files with accurate contact details, contracts, and payment terms.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in till reports or cash registers.
  • Prepare daily cash deposits and ensure secure handling of funds.

Vendor File Maintenance

  • Reconcile daily till reports and ensure accuracy of all cash, credit, and other payment methods.
  • Monitor vendor accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payment inquiries, and account updates.

Financial Recordkeeping

  • Maintain detailed records of sales, expenses, and financial transactions using accounting software, Excel spreadsheets, and manual tracking.

  • Work with management on scheduling financial file retention and destruction in accordance with guidelines.

  • Operates cash register by passing price coded items across electronic scanner to record price, compile printed list, and display cost of customer purchase, tax, and rebates on monitor screen.
  • Weighs items, bags merchandise, redeems promotional coupons.
  • Accurately collects cash, check, or credit card payment from customer and makes change for cash or check transactions and issues receipt to customer. Offers cash back to customers if requested.
