Island Market is searching for a detail oriented individual to contribute to our Sales Operations team.

Fully qualified candidate will:

  • 3 years’ experience in a similar environment
  • Proficient with MS Excel and Windows 10 environment
  • Ability to calculate discounts and percentages.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-starter and manage time wisely.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent proof-reading skills
  • Good analytical & organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work weekends.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift objects of up to 50 pounds.

GM/HABA Associate:

Island Market is searching for a personable individual to provide great customer service, as well as maintaining and operating the General Merchandise/Health and Beauty Aide department.

Fully qualified candidate will:

  • Experience in a similar environment
  • Create outstanding customer experiences through exceptional customer service.
  • Receive, count, scan, and ensure product quality of all department goods.
  • Remain current and knowledgeable on industry trends and new products.
  • Ensure accurate product pricing and information in the department.
  • Assisting customers with special orders.
  • Maintain department cleanliness and organization.
  • Maintain company visual merchandising standards.
  • Meet and coordinate with vendors and distributors.
  • Ensure all resets and planograms are executed as directed.
  • Responsible for ordering merchandise; ensure best price and seeking best deals.
  • Proactive seasonal and holiday planning
  • Effective verbal, sales, and customer service skills
  • Administrative skills, i.e., ordering, scheduling, invoice processing.
  • Control shrink/damage of product by keeping an accurate inventory of product on hand and working with Grocery Manager to adjust order quantities.
  • Review reports to ensure proper margins are being achieved.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift objects of up to 50 pounds.
